Hustle Culture Nearly Killed Me

Would You Hire You?

That’s the question I was asked in my recent interview with Bold Journeys.

My answer wasn’t polished. It wasn’t strategic. It was true:
Yes, because someone has to hold space where leaders can finally exhale.

In that conversation, I shared what few coaches will admit. That mindset alone cannot heal trauma lodged in the body. That hustle culture nearly killed me. My Stage 4 Lymphoma diagnosis in 2024 was not random. It was the result of years of overriding my own signals, ignoring fatigue, and believing I could and should carry it all.

I also spoke about the quiet, intuitive girl I was before the world told me who to be. She felt everything. She saw beneath the surface. She knew things without being told. That part of me never left. She just waited for me to remember her.

This work I do isn’t about helping people achieve more. It’s about helping them come home to themselves so they can lead from wholeness, not depletion.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re carrying too much alone,
if you’ve been told your sensitivity is a liability,
if you’re exhausted from performing while your body begs for rest,

this interview might be the mirror you’ve been waiting for.
